Jennifer Hudson will soon be singing lullabies!

The Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-winning actress celebrated her first pregnancy with a baby shower this past weekend in downtown Chicago, reports the Chicago Tribune.

"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," singer/actress Felicia Fields said of Hudson's party, which was held in a relative's home on Saturday. "They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet."

She added, "It was a nice time that we had."

It is unknown when the baby is due, however the Chicago Sun-Times reports Hudson is seven months along.

When asked if Hudson received blue or pink gifts, Fields said, "They don't know [the gender]. More yellow."

Hudson, 27, is engaged to former reality TV star David Otunga, who's currently pursuing a career in pro wrestling. While the couple has not disclosed the wedding date, Hudson has previously said she plans to include her three dogs - Oscar, Grammy and Dreamgirl - in the ceremony.

A rep for Hudson had no comment.
